     ■ Occasional rain as I made my way up to the junction
     ■ Met two hikers that said it was cold and hailing at sunrise on the summit
     ■ Sunny skies most of the way up
     ■ A plume of smoke noticeable as I got to the junction
     ■ Met up with Jeff and Tessa at the junction
     ■ Smoke moved quick, the whole west side engulfed by the time we got to the summit
     ■ East side clear
     ■ WE MADE IT! Tears, smiles, calls to family
     ■ Thunder and lightning as we made it back down to get out packs
     ■ Moving fast, grabbed our bags and pushed to Trail Crest as fast as possible
     ■ Could feel tingling hairs on my head
     ■ Occasional rain as we made it down the 99 switchbacks
     ■ Made camp at Outpost Camp for a shorter last day
     ■ Falling ash, headache from the smoke
     ■ Rain as we sat down for dinner…of course
