Elevation: 2,675 ft ascent | 2,146 ft descent

     ■ We were told Mather Pass was one of the worst, it ended up being one of my favorite
     ■ Pikas everywhere!
     ■ The rain started as soon as I hit the trees before ascending to Marjorie, right as I did a water crossing
     ■ Poured for about 20-30 minutes, waited until it slowed before hiking again
     ■ Off and on rain the rest of the day
     ■ Continued hiking, stopping occasionally to wait out lightning
     ■ Waited near the ranger station for Jeff and Tessa, who were only a quarter mile behind me
     ■ We decided to hike on, knowing it would likely improve
     ■ Met the ranger as we arrived at Marjorie, he showed us a good camping site for our group
     ■ Cold and wet night
